TEC | The Expedited Company
Winter gets the care your freight merits.
From now through early spring, we run the same round-the-clock service you expect, adjusted for the season.
For much of the country, the next 4–5 months move the freight industry into winter mode. For us, that means a few modifications and the same dependable, around-the-clock service you expect from TEC. Cold, snow and storms don’t make your freight any less important. They make the work more demanding, and we plan for that before the first snowfall, not after.
How we run winter
- Weather aware Every morning we check the national forecast for regional shutdowns, slowdowns and general weather hazards, from El Niño in the West to snow and extreme cold in the North.
- Proactive routing and timing When weather affects a lane, we adjust routes and transit time expectations as needed, and we tell you early so you can plan around it.
- Extended after-hours coverage We’re available any time of day, any day of the week, because weather emergencies lead to a rise in unplanned, urgent freight.
- Careful handling Freight that’s sensitive to cold, moisture or delay gets extra attention at pickup, in transit and at delivery.
- Safety first We never ask a driver to take an unsafe risk to beat a clock. A safe driver is how your freight arrives intact.
- Clear communication You hear from us before you have to ask, with straight answers about where your freight is and what to expect.
What stays the same
Your freight is still our priority, and a real person is still a call away at any hour. Our commitment to getting urgent shipments where they need to go is the same in January as it is in July. What changes is how closely we watch the road ahead, and how early we tell you what we see.
A winter plan only works if it’s in place before the storm.
Why winter calls for extra care
Winter is when expedited freight matters most. Closed highways, slowed lanes and shuttered facilities create sudden gaps in supply chains, and the shipments that fill those gaps are often the ones a customer can’t do without.
Handling that freight well takes preparation, honest communication and people who are ready to pick up the phone. That’s what we’ve built for the season ahead, and it’s why we treat every winter load as the important shipment it is.
We’ll be here all season
We’ll be here all winter long, watching the forecast, adjusting early and answering whenever you call. When the season turns, we look forward to the spring with you.
